About this Blog...

This blog is meant to be a testimony to God's Faithfulness & His Glory.
In Old Testament times, God's people would build altars & monuments that would serve as a reminder of all that God did for His people. Today, we have the same opportunity to pay tribute to God's lavish blessing over our lives. This blog is a modern-day version of the Old Testament monument. May all who visit here and read the things written be inspired to be grateful for the blessings in their own lives and find reason to ascribe glory & honor to Almighty God --- for His unfailing love, infinite mercy & amazing grace!

Seek Him with ALL your heart

I am so thankful that God is easily found by normal, everyday people like me.
God does not try to make it difficult for people to find Him.  It's not like a game of hide & seek or looking for a needle in a haystack.  God wants to be found by us.  He made it easy by sending His Son to earth through human beings in an ordinary town.  He sent angels to announce His birth to shepherds on a plain in Bethlehem.  Their proclamation lit up the night sky....there was no hiding it!  He even placed an unusual star in the sky that brought wise men in search of a new King.....again, it was in full view, there was no subtlety there either.  Today, we have His written Word, the Bible, to help us find our way to Him and learn more about Him.  The only thing we must do is seek Him with all our hearts.
"You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart." ~ Jeremiah 29:13
If you find yourself unable to see God anywhere around you.........perhaps you have been wholeheartedly searching for something else.  It's common for us, as fallible humans, who are prone to let our affections wander to things that are incapable of satisfying us.  We must be devoted to spending time in God's Word and His presence, daily.
Let's be tenacious about searching for Jesus in these coming weeks leading up to Christmas.  There are lots of other things we could be seeking & finding during this season.  Commercialism likes to appeal to our human desires, but in the end those desires will never be satisfied until they collide with the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

  1. Today I'm thankful that God chose me to be a son of his before the creation of the world. It is crazy to think that back when he was preparing to create things as grand and majestic as the Grand Canyon, the Pacific Ocean, and the Rocky Mountains, he thought, "I'm choosing Chris to be one of mine for eternity. I want him in heaven with me forever." That absolutely blows my mind.

  2. AMEN! I echo that praise, Chris. It's humbling isn't it? "What is mankind that You are mindful of them, human beings that You care for them?" ~ Psalm 8:4 What an awesome reality to be faced with --- we are crowned with glory and honor by the Creator of the universe!
