About this Blog...

This blog is meant to be a testimony to God's Faithfulness & His Glory.
In Old Testament times, God's people would build altars & monuments that would serve as a reminder of all that God did for His people. Today, we have the same opportunity to pay tribute to God's lavish blessing over our lives. This blog is a modern-day version of the Old Testament monument. May all who visit here and read the things written be inspired to be grateful for the blessings in their own lives and find reason to ascribe glory & honor to Almighty God --- for His unfailing love, infinite mercy & amazing grace!

To Everything There Is A Season....

Today, I am thankful for the arrival of the Christmas season.  I really enjoy pulling out the decorations and being reminded of all the fun traditions and memories from years ago.  Nostalgia is about to be in FULL swing around here!  We will be putting away the Fall decorations and bringing down the boxes of Christmas things.  It is a lot of work, but it represents a season of LOVE, HUMILITY, JOY & the promise of PEACE.
LOVE -God loved us SO MUCH that He sent His only Son to be our Savior and our hope, when we had none!
HUMILITY -Jesus humbled Himself, giving up His rightful place in heaven and took on our frail, human flesh.  He chose to make a very fallen, dark and troubled world His dwelling place.
JOY -What greater joy could there be than the Light of the world entering the darkness and bringing clarity, hope, mercy and love to every human heart who receives Him?  PRAISE GOD!!!
PEACE -The promise of peace is SO HUGE....When Jesus was born, the angels sang "Peace on earth" because that's exactly what it was;  peace was literally ON EARTH!  Perfect peace was birthed in a stable in the hills of Bethlehem, and the world would forever be changed because of it.  Now, that perfect peace dwells in humans hearts that have been transformed through His salvation.  Without His perfect peace, I would be utterly despondent on a daily basis.  Thank you, JESUS!
These are the specifics of my gratefulness this morning.....and really.........every morning.
